Tanzania, despite its natural beauty, scenic beaches, charming locals and captivating culture, has one main appeal, Safari. The sheer magnetism of one of the world’s largest wild animal populations attracts thousands yearly. With the world famous Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park, any person that enjoys Safari should have Tanzania on top of their holiday wish list.
However, just as many other African locations, Tanzania is not only about Safari. The capital Dodoma and the premier city Dar Es Salaam are full of culture and heritage, as well as many local cuisines that are definitely worth a try for the more adventurous traveller.
The best time to travel to Tanzania would be January or Febuary, the standard tourist season, due to the hot weather being most pleasant at this time. However, another good time to travel is from July to October, after the rains and before the beating sun returns.
