Over time Nepal has become synonymous with one word, Everest. However, this is no longer the case, with the culture of Nepal now becoming a strong appeal. Whether it’s the rose-brick temples of Kathmandu, or the Nyatapola temple in Bhaktapur, the Nepalese civilisation is becoming increasingly popular to tourists.
However, Nepal is still an adventurer’s paradise, with white-water rafting, kayaking and mountain biking joining climbing as common activities for adventure-seeking tourists. Also, the appeal of Nepal’s Royal Chitwan National Park is greater than ever, with the opportunity of seeing a Nepalese tiger or rhino too great to refuse for most tourists.
The best time to visit Nepal would be October or November, the start of the dry season, although some favour February through April, just prior to the wet season.
