Vietnam has become one of South-East Asia’s most sought-after tourist locations recently, since the discovery that it has still withheld most of its national heritage and has not yet taken to Westernisation on a major scale. Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam’s largest, boasts much local culture. From museums depicting the harrowing war and political revolution in Vietnam to stunning botanical gardens and pagodas and humbling temples, this city has it all.
However, this city is not all Vitenam has to offer. Dalat, another major city hosts Emperor Bao Dai’s summer palace with much Vietamese art and architecture available to view, as well as the Hang Nga art gallery. Also, Halong Bay looks out over 3,000 islands, a truly awe-inspiring view full of beaches and grottoes.
The best time depends on what you want to see. As the beauty in one region is complimented with fine weather there is bound to be another part of the country where the opposite is happening. However, avoid July to November as this is typhoon season.
